Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily SMT production operations, including setup, programming, stencil printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, AOI, SPI, and related processes.
• Plan manpower allocation, machine scheduling, and line balancing to achieve production targets.
• Monitor line performance (output, yield, OEE, downtime) and take corrective actions when KPIs deviate.
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards, customer requirements, and company quality systems.
• Troubleshoot machine/line issues with technicians and escalate to maintenance or engineering when needed.
• Train, guide, and coach SMT operators/technicians to improve skills and knowledge.
• Coordinate with material planning, warehouse, and purchasing to ensure component availability and prevent line stoppages.
• Enforce safety, ESD, and 5S discipline on the shop floor.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives: reduce defects, increase throughput, and lower operating cost.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SMT production, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment (Panasonic, Fuji, ASM, Yamaha, etc.), and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, ISO standards, and customer audit requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability, especially in high-volume EMS environments.
• Knowledge of MES/ERP production tracking systems.
