SMT Sr. Engineer

Job Description

The SMT Senior Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process, ensuring quality, cost and delivery meets customer requirements. The role will involve leading and supervising a team of SMT Engineer and Technicians to ensuring equipment maintenance is carried out promptly and effectively.

Job Responsibilities:
• To plan, directs and oversees activities of SMT department activities to meet business goals and objectives.
• Responsible to train, upgrade, motivate, appraise, award and formulate a group vision of team success.
• Determine proper reaction to change instructions and take steps to prevent problems.
• Establishes effective utilization of SMT manpower, SMT equipment and facilities.
• Optimizes production line utilization to contribute to high production yield, performance and quality.
• Ensure all SMT facility and machinery are properly maintained to enable continuous plant optimum operation
• Pays high attention to employee work safety and health.
•Ensures his areas of responsibilities comply with ISO 9001 & ISO13485 requirements, customer requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:
•Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Telecommunication or equivalent.
•Candidate that really hands on in SMT environment – 2.5 to 3 years
•With Minimum SMT Machine knowledge (AOI/SPI)and process
•Can do documentation /report and good in paper work
•Good interpersonal communication skills, problem analysis and problem solving abilities
· Experience leading and supervising a team of SMT Engineer and technicians.
· Knowledge of SMT equipment and maintenance practices.
