Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting
• Handle full set of accounts (AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliation, journals).
• Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, cashflow report, management accounts.
• Monitor project costing, progress claim collection, and payment cycle.
• Issue invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and maintain proper records.

Construction-Specific Tasks
• Coordinate with QS department on project costing, VO status, and claim certification.
• Track project cashflow: materials purchase, subcontractor payments, retention sum.
• Ensure accurate allocation of cost by project code.
• Monitor supplier payments, credit term, and forecast cash requirement.

Compliance
• Prepare and submit SST, PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, company tax schedules.
• Ensure all transactions comply with Malaysian accounting standards.
• Work with auditors, tax agents, bankers for yearly audit and financial matters.

Administration Support
• Maintain company financial files, contracts, and payment records.
• Assist management on budgeting, loan applications, financing documents, etc.

Requirements
• Diploma/Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years accounting experience (construction industry is an advantage).
• Proficient in accounting software (AutoCount / SQL / UBS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Good understanding of SST and Malaysian statutory requirements.
