NPI Engineer

Job Description

The NPI Engineer oversees the introduction of new products, ensuring smooth transitions from first article qualification to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the superior and HOD, managing first article qualification and mass production readiness.
• Plan projects using Gantt charts, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure timely implementation.
• Review customer 3D data, drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Conduct DFM, PFMEA, process capability studies, and tolerance analysis.
• Develop process flows, BOMs, process drawings, and packaging standards.
• Serve as the main technical contact for customers, providing updates and leading discussions.
• Identify and resolve issues during project execution, including post-mortem analysis.
• Review jigs, fixtures, and propose cost-reduction measures.
• Provide technical support, training, and initiate engineering change requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, 5S, and company policies.
• Prepare reports (8D, RCCA, FAIR) and monitor project risks for timely delivery.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
