Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure that maintenance activities are performed in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans to ensure the reliable and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
- Identify and prioritize maintenance projects based on operational needs and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance professionals, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence within the maintenance team.
- Drive initiatives to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall maintenance efficiency.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Evaluate and select contractors for specialized maintenance tasks or projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 20 years of experience in maintenance management within the heavy industries sector. Steel and Iron making will be added an advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully leading maintenance teams and managing complex maintenance operations.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and best practices in preventive maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in heavy industries.
