As I neared completing my Diploma in IMI International Hotel & Tourism, I made a decision to continue my internship program at the all-suite luxury,Eastern & Oriental Hotel. This helped me gaining valuable experience in guest relations during my six-month stint as I was mentored by industry professionals, I honed my communication and customer service skills, solidifying my passion for hospitality.• Welcome guests upon their arrival at the lobby and assign their room keys. • Perform all the check in and check out tasks of guests at the Victory Annexe using the Opera PMS. • Attend the phone reservations of all the guest and process their request. • Respond to guest feedback and complains made in a timely and professional manner. • Co-ordinates with all departments concerned to maintain Front Office functions properly. • Checks on registration cards of arriving guests and ensures all information should be filled on each card either by Guest Relation Officers or the guests. • Checks cleanliness of lobby and public areas, lights and as well as front office staff in proper and orderly appearance and behaviour.
During my internship at Digital Penang, I was exposed to a dynamic and fast-paced environment that challenged me to push beyond my comfort zone and explore new horizons. After graduating from Wawasan Open University with my Bachelors in Sales & Marketing (Hons), I decided to continue to work full-time in sales to gain knowledge and practical insights. Back during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself drawn into a new venture: assisting my mother in her home-based catering business, Preeti's Farsan Penang. Stepping into this role, I took on the responsibility of revitalizing the business, infusing it with fresh ideas and innovative marketing strategies.• Plan and execute a marketing strategy for Preeti’s Farsan Penang and for food products or services. • Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan. • Responsible for timely recording and reporting of accurate financial transactions using Microsoft Excel • Promote products, services, and sharing content over social media by editing videos using iMovie & Capcut. • Keep track of data and analyse the performance of post via Meta Business Suite. • Assist in kitchen, both during food preparations and delivery of food to customers.
After ending my role as Marketing Manager at Preeti's Farsan, I embarked on a journey to delve deeper into the realm of digital marketing.
