Work & Experience
• Designed an efficient product for installing a 'drip liner' along the path of Cavendish bananas. (Aug 2022-Oct 2022) • Conducted Finite Element Analysis to identify areas of highest force on the drip liner and assessed its structural integrity. • Collaborated with workshop personnel to fabricate a replacement support part based on a new design sketch. • Validated the new design's ability to withstand applied loads through further Finite Element Analysis. • • Estimated machinery and labor requirements to enhance post-harvest banana processing efficiency. Created 3D models and technical drawings of products. • Assisted in promoting and selling FGV products at FCAV booth while providing support for product maintenance. • Worked collaboratively with the workshop team to understand available equipment and contribute to projects. • Engaged in advanced research on water treatment methodologies.
Final Year Project: Effect of Water Absorption on the Flatwise Compression Behavior of 3D-Printed Hexagonal Honeycomb Core Under Different Loading Rates- Designed and assessed 3D-printed hexagonal honeycomb sandwich composite structures, including flatwise compression testing. - Conducted thorough evaluations on samples subjected to flatwise compression and analyzed the impact of water absorption on hexagonal honeycomb cores made from diverse materials. - Explored the compatibility of sandwich composites filled with carbon and wood in aerospace and engineering applications, emphasizing aircraft and engineering application suitability
• Analyzed and evaluated case studies on a newly startup company of mold-making on shear pruning. • Developed production planning with minimum workers and a production schedule. • Designed and optimized shop floor factory layouts using simulation methods to achieve optimal manufacturing cycle times and process efficiency.
- Identified a weak spot that can be improved in the chair design. Improved the stability of the chair design. - Calculated and compared Von Misses Stress and Factor of Safety when a distributed force is applied across the frame of the product.
• Applied DFMA engineering fundamentals to improve the manufacturing process, such as injection molding. • Developed CAD/CAM drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and assembled drawings for the Mini Air Compressor
